Answer Hi Lori,

Chef Mickey's is such a fun restaurant. It's a great start to any Disney day!

Generally, buses begin running about an hour before park opening.  I'm not sure what day you're going to Chef Mickey's, but if Magic Kingdom opens at 9:00, the first bus should leave around 8:00.  You'll want to be on that bus.  I recommend being at the bus stop by 7:45.  I try to give myself an hour to travel from point A to point B.  You won't have exactly an hour, but you should be okay.

So, you're going to take the bus to Magic Kingdom.  When you arrive at the park, you can get on the resort monorail.  The Contemporary will be your first stop.  Alternatively, there is a walking path that will take you to the Contemporary.  This is probably the quicker of the two options.

Check the calendar for the day.  If Magic Kingdom has Extra Magic Hours and opens at 8:00, I recommend getting to the bus stop by 7:30.  I know that seems early, but the bus lines at Pop can be long, and although they move guests fairly quickly, you'll feel more relaxed if you arrive at Magic Kingdom in time to take a leisurely walk to the resort.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!
