Question We are planning a trip to wdw in sept 2013. My 180 day booking time is coming up next month. I wanted to book restaurants based on fireworks etc. Do you know when calendar is released or any advice?

Answer Hi Chad!

Traveling in September will be a great time of year ... low crowds and mild weather! Calendars are typically released six months in advance, though I think the historical calendars found online with unofficial sites will help you in determining what a typical September looks like at Walt Disney World. Just keep in mind the operating hours, parades, fireworks and special events are always subject to change each year.

Since you mentioned planning your dining around fireworks, one of my favorite spots to view Illuminations: Reflections of Earth is from the patio at the Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room. Patio tables are not guaranteed but waiting around for this preferred view will prove to be a MAGICAL way to take in the show.
