Question Any suggestions for planning a half day visit to Animal kingdom with a 4 yr. old girl? What are the must see and do-not miss things in AK to accommodate in half day visit. Thank you for your time and wonderful advice.

Answer Hi Sumana - I definitely think that it's possible to visit Animal Kingdom in a half-day but I definitely recommend that you get there at opening to optimize your time.

Start out in the Africa section, and either get a FastPass for the safari, or wait in the standby line.  Then, visit some of the trails - such as the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail.  For a half-day visit, I'd skip Rafiki's Planet Watch.

There are a few shows your daughter may like - Finding Nemo the Musical, Festival of the Lion King, and Flights of Wonder.  For the first two shows, you'll need to line up early to make sure you get a seat, so take a look at the descriptions of the shows to see if it's worth your time.

In DinoLand USA, your daughter will likely enjoy the Boneyard and the TriceraTop Spin (similar to the Dumbo ride at the Magic Kingdom).

Finally, visit Camp Minnie Mickey to see your favorite characters dressed in their safari garb!

Have a great vacation!
