I'm told there is a member's lounge at the GM test track in Epcot. Two of our traveling party are GM retirees. Can you provide more information on the lounge and the benefit of accessing it. Coming to WDW in December 2009. Thanks.

It was interesting to see your question as I just returned from a Disney vacation and was with friends who have frequented this lounge in the past. As a GM dealer family they used it many years ago with ease but have had mixed results in accessing it in the last five years.
Since this is a GM lounge and not a Disney area I would suggest you contact your GM representative that deals with retiree benefits to see if you would need a special card to gain entry before you come for your vacation. It appears to be used now primarily for retired and current AFLCIO members and not for the dealers.
The information booth located in the post ride area where the cars are displayed is the place to go for access to the lounge. In the past they served sodas and had bathrooms but not much else was provided. It was a nice quiet stop in a busy park for guests to catch their breath for a few minutes. Sometimes you were also given front of the line passes but not sure this is the case anymore.
