Which is the best resort for a 8 y/o girl? Thanks

Hello Lisa! Thank you so much for your question, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You haven't given me too many details to go on, however, I will answer the question to the best of my ability. In my experience with my own family, little girls love princesses, so if your daughter is a princess lover too, then the Royal Guest Rooms at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort
might be just what you are looking for. I had the chance to tour one of these beautiful rooms, and I can tell you that no 'royal' detail was forgotten. There are so many hidden and obvious odes to the Disney Princesses, it is just really fun to stay in one of these special rooms. And there are some night-time effects that are simply magical! Port Orleans Riverside is my family's favourite moderate resort.
If your daughter is a fan of the animated Disney movies (and really, who isn't?), then my second recommendation is Disney's Art of Animation Resort.
I can't tell you how much I love this resort! There are regular Value rooms in the Little Mermaid section, and amazing Family Suites in the Lion King, Finding Nemo and Cars sections. This resort is like stepping in to all of these movies, with larger than life icons and rooms with the most amazing attention to details. They also have the largest pool on Disney property, The Big Blue Pool, along with 2 smaller, quiet pools.
Lisa I hope this gives you a couple of good ideas on where to start for booking a Walt Disney World Resort. Please don't hesitate to write me back if you have any other questions I could help you with - it would be my pleasure! Have a magical day!
